Imagining neutrinos in a rhythm from pi (detail)
3mm off-white polyester felt, 8/4 cotton carpet warp yarn, roofing nails, grommets.
49 x 19 x 9 inches
2021

Created for Fermilab's Be a part of pARTicles, a virtual exhibition exploring particles, Imagining neutrinos in a rhythm from pi references the three flavors of neutrinos, that neutrinos oscillate between all three flavors as they travel, that each flavor has a different speed, and that neutrinos pass through everything. Spatial relationships within the felt environment, and color and string placement follow numerical values of a 27-digit sequence from pi.
